About:
GB Enhanced+ (GBE+ for short) is the successor to the original GB Enhanced project. It is a Game Boy (DMG), Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, NDS, and Pokemon Mini emulator for Windows that aims to be at the forefront of video game preservation by emulating a vast array of the Game Boy’s many accessories.
GBE+ Emulator aims to be a fully functional Game Boy emulator. The goal is to create a highly portable emulator using C++ and SDL and document the Game Boy’s functions through clear code. Additionally GBE+ strives to emulate everything about the Game Boy, including obscure hardware and features.
GBE+ comes with very nice PDF and ODT manuals explaining everything about its operation, and devotes extensive time to covering complex topics such as setting up netplay, enabling rumble support or motion controls, and more. PLEASE READ THE MANUAL if you have any questions regarding this emulator.
Basic Usage
GBE+ Emulator has support for both GUI (user interface) and command-line.
- Download the zip file and extract it.
- Simply double-click the executable file gbe_plus_qt.exe to run the GUI version of the emulator.
- For those interested in the commandline version of GBE+, run the gbe_plus.exe file from the command prompt.
- The majority of this manual focuses on the Qt version of GBE+.
